Realistic TB Offseason

Description
Killorn plays on PP and PK, on pace to score 30, has v strong underlying #s that a pro-analytics team like the Avs would value, and will have significant value for a contender for the next couple years.

Johnson's value around the league is hard to get a read on, but I get a sense that it is probably overinflated versus how Lightning fans feel, coming off a cup win as a second line winger and, in the final at least, he didn't look like the almost replacement-level player he's been for a while. NY may not be the right team but somebody's gonna takes a gamble on the Washington-born kid and if he doesn't work out as a 3C/second-line winger, they'll expose him next summer, as he would definitely be a draw for the Kraken

The McElhinney deal doesn't save a ton but does save a bit and he is not the goalie the Lightning are going to want to rely on next year, with all of the back-to-backs. Louis is a victim of the RFA goalie carousel and comes back to Tampa on a discount.

Johnson's 5m X 4 is far too rich for any team most others think he is a 3rd liner...which he appears to be. No reason for Seattle to draft a non value player either.

Johnson has to agree to waive, not convinced he will.

Cernak could get a lot more elsewhere. Cirelli and Sergachev could get more elsewhere. We'll see if they sign super team friendly deals.

Not only is this hoping that Sergachev, Cernak and Cirelli take at least a 1 million dollar paycut, it also has Bogosian taking a paycut of around 1-1.5 million which I cannot see happening. I just cannot see a way that the Lightning are able to bring back all 3 of their RFAs and they might not even be able to bring back two of them if players like Johnson refuse to waive their NMCs. Johnson also might not even bring back positive value and you might have to give up picks to offload him as he is a 3rd liner making a lot of money in a time where almost every team does not have enough cap space.
There are plenty of teams that will be willing to pay Sergachev, Cernak, Cirelli and Bogosian a lot more than that and it doesn't really make sense for any of them to take those deals when they can join another team that is contending while getting paid a lot more. And that isn't even touching Maroon and Ryan making less than 900,000 per year.

I think the Avs would be more interested in Palat, don't you? Value is fair though.

While I think the offer is fair for Killorn, I personally doubt that the Avs would actually be interested. They have deceptively little cap room and they could likely find a better option. Not a bad choice but not the optimal one
