Wild are not moving Dumba for scraps, they want a legit top 6 center. Don't understand why the Rangers would make that trade.

I'll say no. Georgiev is the perfect back up for Shesterkin. And you a draft pick back???

Wild do not need another LW and a defenseman they can't protect in expansion.

Because they get a top pairing RD for a middle six zLW, a bottom pair LD, and a couple of inconsequential draft picks.

Then you don't know Dumba, and probably shouldn't be offering your opinions on him.

I've watched 80% of his games in his career.

It's funny that Tor fans call Dumba another Barrie. Spurgeon is the Barrie and Dumba is the Rielly.

What

He is, Spurgeon just gets so much shelter from playing with better d-men that he gets credit for a good d-zone game.

Put Barrie with Brodin, Scandella, or Suter all these years and fans would be saying Barrie is a top-10 d-man in the league.

For one, Dumba is in no way what the Leafs need. He's an all offence guy when we need someone who's a bit more defensive-minded. We could also probably get a guy for somewhat cheaper (by free-agency or trade). Johnsson is a very solid middle-six forward, Dermott is very young and really underrated and that 2nd is a pretty valuable pick. I would consider giving up that much if it was someone who might fit our team a little better, but Dumba really isn't what we need.

I agree that he isn't what we need, but you could easily just take him and flip him for way more than what you gave up
