There are some nice add-on pieces there, but you are missing a main piece for Laine.

NYI has young forwards and few picks. NJD has picks and needs young forwards.

I'd think there would be more fitting Boychuck dump out there....Wahlstrom, Beauvillier, etc

You’d be surprised, I know some Wild fans would do Ladd for Parise straight up. I wouldn’t go that far, however if the Wild start to rebuild that Parise contract ties up a lot of money for while. By the time the Wild finish rebuilding Parise would probably be LTIR or just an anchor. Moving Parise for Ladd gets out of that contract in a shorter time frame.

There is a big segment of Wild fans that would take this proposal in a heartbeat especially with no cap retention.

I wouldn't touch that MIN deal. Parise for Ladd+, sure. But Varlamov isn't a contract we really need either, and MDC is worthless.

thats exactly why i don't want to do the Parise deal, Sure he could help now, but in 2 years if you can't get him on LTIR, his contract is the same thing as Ladd's right now

The difference is Ladd is a guaranteed useless player right now, Parise isn't a guaranteed useless player in 2 years.
