Description

I'm not sure about the value on the Laine trade, ducks may need to turn the 2nd into a 1st (not a biggie considering 20-45 are supposed to be similar) but I think is is a solid trade for the jets. I want to hear what jets ppl think.

- jets need a 2nd line centre, Henrique is that
- jets don't seem to like Laine and don't like the uncertainty w/ his salary in the future

I don't know if the Reimer deal works in practice but i find it hard to believe that many teams want to trade for him. If it's a 4th going back the other way it's fine too. This is just to fill the backup slot and give Gibson some rest during the season.

We would need to add for that Laine trade. Personally if the guys I want at 6 are gone I'd add that to a package to trade for him.

So much jones hate on cf. Its unnecessary. Give the guy time to develop and why should we help out buffalo for being bad for so long. Not saying MJ is this big addition but we are bad ourselves. He's a former 1st at his lowest value lets just hold onto him

Same thing for Terry.

GMBM wouldnt consider doing these trades. My bet deepening on the target and our scoring output I foresee Rakell being the next guy getting traded

I understand the Terry/Jones comments, but there sadly is no room and it would probably be smarter for the ducks to focus on developing the 5 or so guys that have the best shot at making it.

What do you think of the reimer deal?

As for Reimer trade Im not crazy about it but id do it only if Miller is not coming back. Especially since we are gonna need the depth just incase players are unfit to play during the pandemic. So yea Gibson, Miller/Reimer and Stolarz. Im good with it.

I agree but watch if he's given good minutes in the middle six this year in ANA his value will go up.

Would be awesome to see the Laine trade but I doubt it will happen

Definitely have to add for Laine. IMO, it would be closer with something like: Rico+Bos 1st+Prospect not named Zegras+Guhle if they want him.

Miiiight be able to get a 2021 2nd for that package, but definitely not 2020.

Might as well keep Terry and not sign Ryan (Then there's room for him!)

Doubt Carolina has any interest in moving Reims as a semi-dump. I'm not even sure signing a big name goalie is the best move for the Canes anyway. When you look at 2021-2022, Svech and Dougie to re-sign, so I can't imagine them being too horned up to go big on a goalie.

Your assessment of Reimer is wrong. He was the 20th best goalie in league last season and is only due $850k salary this season (bonus has already been payed.) He has a lot more value than are implying. He is not a player we are paying to get rid of. Would most likely cost you a 3rd.
