I don't think I'd like him on NJD anyway -- that team is already undersized and weak at forward as is. Marner is a fantastic player, but I think they would be better served going after players that have a little bang and size like a Tuch or something. Cheaper too.

Kings decline, buying out Doughty today (which they have no reason to do) would have fewer cap implications for when the Kings are competing (three years from now). Also, Kings started to see him improve (as well as most of the team) as the season went on, his contract is high but retaining this much for 7 years is the stupidest thing a rebuilding team could do.

Calgary declines imo. Andersen is worth a 2nd and maybe a 3rd at most.

Minnesota trade is fine.

New Jersey may not want to add another 1st but if you take the Vancouver pick out then it seems a bit closer.

I would rather have Severson and a couple of 1st rounders then give that up for Doughty tbh. The value with those picks+Severson > then the value Doughty holds.

You know literally nothing about hockey, holl gets a 6th max there are much better fa dmen for much cheaper, marner is not worth even sevo and the 18th oa, doughty is the most overrated player in the league and isn’t even worth his contract let alone multiple first in the strongest draft ever

You tell this fella that he "knows nothing about hockey" and then follow it up with a statement like "marner is not worth even sevo and the 18th oa".

Man... give your head a good shake.

One more for the ignore pile.

NJD isn't going to give that up for Marner. C'mon.
Severson, Zacha, 1st is probably the best they'd get.
It is not happening from either side.

elaborate, he is head over heels better than any forward on the devils, had more assists then any devil had points, plays every situation, hes gonna be better than whoever they draft at 8, let alone 17 and severson

#1 don’t ever compare points from a good team to a bad u sound stupid
#2 Nico is analytically better than Mitch
#3 hughes has potential too be a top 5 player in the league
# NJ can get Rossi, drysdale, perfetti, holtz or lundell
Who all have way more potential then marner

eichel had points on a bad team, whats ur point?

hichier has the potential to be better but as of right now marner is the better player

hughes was absolutely atroicous this year, won the rookie green jacket and one of the worst rookie seasons from a first overall pick in the history of the nhl,

way more potential is staright from your arse and will need to see to be true, potential is also diffeerent than sure thing which marner already is

Eichel is in his prime he’s not comparable
And you don’t get selected first overall if you don’t have very high potential
I’d rather take a risk on somebody who has potential to be great than someone who is know to be good

in his rookie season he still had more than anyone on the devils this year, thing about marner is hes great already and he hasnt even hit his ceiling yet, i get youre trying to birng down marner but youre doing a bad job of doing it

Eichel had 6 points more than palmeri in 25 more games and hughes was on pace for 35-40 points which is not a bad rookie season by any means
Marner has hit his ceiling, he’s overpaid and he’s carried by his line mates. Your opinion is irrelevant I’m using advanced analytics to back my self up you are using your biased view point
