Wings pass, you can keep tj, long term heavy contract while he's declining. Yzerman said yesterday this is not the types of moves that the wings are going to be making now

6 million for 3 years of Sergachev is absurd. Hes not even better than McAvoy who got 4.9

Also Shattenkirk's gone

Killorn for a 1st is probably fair, but when it’s no secret that the bolts are desperate to shed cap nobody they move is getting market value just to help their situation

I was over compensating figuring the threat of a offer sheet is very real. I hope they can get him cheaper but went on the high end.

SY loves Johnny and he is still more than serviceable. We shall see.

Wings can spend 10.16m per season better long term than on Gourde and Johnson. What motivation do Gourde and Johnson to leave a great Tampa situation for cap rich but lousy teams? Same with the M NTCs contract who can probably work around their list, so they can't be traded either.

Offer sheets are empty threats. Its like when some 12 year old kid in call of duty says they slept with your mom over voice coms.

He said he will not be doing these moves. He had a 45 minute interview yesterday and this is not the direction he is going. He said he would only take this type of contract if the team makes it worth while, in this case it would take a gigantic piece from tampa with tj for the wings to take it. He's 1 year away from being another frans Nielsen and we aren't going to take him off your hands for free. Unfortunately for tampa you are stuck with a declining player with a lot of term left. On the bright side you won the cup so I'd be ok with dealing with it for the cup, congrats!
