SHOULD THE LEAFS HIRE ME TO BE GM? No. Also some of the players would sue their agents if they agreed to some of the contracts were signed.

I see a theme developing here that may give you some insight...

Here are some of your recent thread titles...

"Should the Leafs hire me to be GM"
"Am I a good GM"
"Should I be GM"
"I am a good GM"
"2018-19 contracts if I was GM"
"Hire Meeeee"
"Hire me as general manager"
"Hire Michael Simonetta as GM"
"If I was GM of the Leafs"

I could go on but I will stop there.

This is strike 10 IMO, and the answer is still no.

Just some food for thought, respectfully.

I think it is time that you searched for a new angle.

Chicago cant afford Johnsson so go elsewhere

Flames are not paying a 1st for a rental and a bench warmer.

Dont think Engvall has that value, maybe a 4th

Colorado takes that and runs

Well first thing first, you offer sheeted Ho-Sang for a league minimum contract. Why wouldnt the Islanders match that? Even if they dont play him, they keep control and can dump him in the AHL or anywhere and not have it hit their NHL cap. Even if they just wanted to give him away they could at least get 'future considerations' back at the bare minimum.

Dermott is not a bench warmer. Calgary may not take that trade, but IMHO they are together worth a mid first easily, maybe not from Calgary though

Well... for starters... you need a new shtick because this GM thing is getting old in a hurry.

Secondly....

Extending OS's to RFA's for minimums isn't a good strategy. You are just doing the work for the other team.
That Nylander trade is just down right bad for the Leafs.
The Flames trade seems reasonable if they have an interest in Andersen.

It's definitely not out of the realm of possibility, (aside from the OS and the Nylander trade), so, keep the faith.

You've gotta ditch the "Am I a good GM" thing though. Not only is it annoyingly repetitive, it sets yourself up for a harsher critique IMO. Life as an ACGM can be polarizing to begin with, no need to put a bullseye on your forehead too.

Carry on Lad.

Nothing against Engvall but I don't think the Islanders are looking to add players like him this offseason. Just not a priority.

Dermott is a b3nch warmer in Calgary though. Hes not better than any of Gio, Hanifin, or Valimaki and im not certain he's better than Kylington. Of he could play top 4 RD Toronto wouldnt ve shopping him
