Boston OEL

Created by: DSZ
Team: 2020-21 Arizona Coyotes
Initial Creation Date: Oct. 2, 2020
Published: Oct. 2, 2020
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
I cant see Vancouver getting OEL unless there willing to move Boeser which isnt happening or Podkolzin which is unlikely then Vancouver is just not a fit , Boston has some nice pieces and have to keep in mind Ekman Larsson is worth a lot more to NHL scouts and GMs then what the fans talk about him .

And this would be a mistake. He shouldn't be worth that much, especially with this contract. Hope VAN can get a deal done asap

That will never happen. Leaves a gaping hole at LW2 and RD2 and not enough cap space to fix it.

Contending teams don’t trade key players from their nucleus, they trade futures. This does not make them better.

Ya, bruins would laugh in your face for this one. You know that the negotiations aren’t with the rest of the league right? Boston just has to beat Vancouver. Since Vancouver would have to send a real bad contract back, you’re not getting that crazy of a price. Get Carlo out of there, never gonna happen. If you want debrusk in there I think it would just be Debrusk, Moore, 1st round pick.

Could you perhaps be overly fond of Carlo based on your username?

Much rather trade Debrusk to Nash for Ekholm.

Nah i just watch every bruins game and understand that despite his hockeydb page, he’s one of the most important players on the team. Moving him would be stupid. Doing that with debrusk is utter insanity. Again, the bruins are not negotiating against the rest of the league. They are only negotiating against Vancouver. If Vancouver beats debrusk and a first, good for them.

Only problem is that Ekholm is not on the market and Ekholm doesnt have as good of offensive play that OEL does , i will tell you Ekman Larsson to either Boston or Vancouver will spark his offense up again a lot of the problems he has now are mental more than anything and thats the Arizona affect he's just worn down playing here and i dont blame him

There have been some rumors of inquiries about it.

Can just resign Krug, don’t need to give up anything. 🤷🏻‍♂️

I didnt know Carlo's exact trade value so you definitely cleared that up for me , Cant see Vancouver beating Debrusk and a 1st the only good prospect they have is Podkolzin but who knows we'll find out in the upcoming days

welp that's on Boston but do agree that Boston should try everything to get Krug back before making a move for OEL

Indeed we will. The major wrinkle I’m seeing in this is Vancouver’s cap structure. They’re going to have to give back one of their bad contracts to make this work. I think Boston can make it work without sending over anything bad.

I should say i don’t want this deal to happen, but it sounds like Sweeney has a hard on for OEL.

Van can always trade elsewhere
