He scored more combined goals (AHL+NHL) than Mittelstadt last season and did it in 12 fewer games played.
I know it is just to take a shot at Mittelstadt but asking seriously, is Casey a sniper or more of a playmaker? I'm not sure. If he's more of playmaker, then it's understandable. And Mittelstadt had a better pts/GP than Oglevie in the AHL

Mittelstadt is a pure playmaker, not known for scoring goals

I know he's never been a pure goal scorer, but he needs to learn how to make plays under pressure and how to create time and space for himself. Until he does, he'll be riding the bus. He'll never be a good bottom six Forward. He's gotta put up 50+ points per season to make it in the big leagues.

I guess I was taking a shot at Mittelstadt. But the blame should also fall on Buffalo's development. They're not doing too well in the draft unless they have a top 2 pick. Somehow I believe that if Mittelstadt was drafted by a team with decent player development he'd already be a #2 Center scoring 50+ points per season.
