Forward lines make a lot of sense, however the LD really couldn't be much worse. They will have to do something there.

If they keep them shorter than 5 years, and around 5m or less, they should be OK. Fox will get money, the others are aways a way from getting big money.

And you will be able to move either, as long as they dont completely fall apart the next 2 seasons, but they should continue to produce with the number of offensive players on the roster.

Fair but I do think Laf and Kakko will get paid relatively big and I think a 1-2 year bridge deal just gives the team more options

deangelo already took a sort of bridge deal so he'll want to get paid and is still young. Strome on the other hand would be brutal to sign for longer than 2 years in my opinion, especially with that price tag

If Kakko and Laf get bridge deals, the end of the bridge deal will be when these Strome/DeAngelo deals are done.

Believe me, I have the same fears. But I'd also hate to blow another season of Zibanejad and Panarin because I'm worried to re-sign Strome.

He may not make sense, but I think Quinn would love him. He would be 5th or 6th forward to PK. You can always move the lines around, put him at W and Howden at C. Both AA and Dzingel could move up the lineup, something that Fast did, but something they also need to upgrade. Both guys would give the Rangers options that could fill top 6 minutes, while adding speed and aggression.

Laf probably gets the full performance bonus potential of 2.85 million. That is 10 million in performance bonus potential. Cap of 81.5 million * 7.5% cap of bonus overage = 87.6125 million. Y’all can spend 77.6125 million in actual players with 10 million in potential performance bonuses.

bonuses can carry over into the next season's cap hit - when Smith comes off, and $12m in dead buyout money is gone.

Yes but you can only carry performance bonuses that equal to 7.5% over the cap when added to your current cap hit. 87.625 million is the highest you can go with cap usage + potential performance bonuses.
