Moose is an average back-up, but he's well liked in the organization and has a good relationship with Hart. The Flyers don't have enough cap space for an upgrade, so I am perfectly fine with resigning Elliott for another year.

I know a lot of people will hate this, but really, it’s fine. Elliott is a great mentor to Hart and he can play a decent amount of games(unlike another signing with a guy named Brossoit who won’t give Hellebuyck any rest). Brossoit got the same AAV, and Elliott is worth more. Plus, the Flyers can chase an upgrade next year, with no term on this one

Not a fan they have multiple goalies who can be decent backups in the minors and their already up against the cap and have Braun, Pitlick, Myers, Thompson, Grant as free agents now their probably gonna lose Braun, Pitlick, Thompson, and Grant because Myers is worth all the cap they have left.

I really don't think they were going to resign any of them anyway, other than maybe Pitlick.

Terrific Value signing for the Flyers. They get a trusty veteran at a VERY reasonable and cheap price. PERFECT one year term which is all they need and he's completely moveable and he just falls off the books at the end of the season. Carter Hart is CLEARLY the goalie of the future for Philly and in fact he is RIGHT NOW one of the BEST goalies in the NHL and he's only going to get better. Great attitude and great talent!

Hart is more than capable of starting 60-65 games. No need to over pay in the Goalie market. This deal makes a lot of sense.
