Given Labanc's expected contract, this would save the Sharks $3 Mil on towards the cap, and get the Sharks out of Jones' contract.

Whoever tweeted that clarified it as nothing but speculation, and Lebrun and Russo squashed the idea that Jones would be coming back to Minnesota in any Dubnyk trade.

For sure. I was just posting the idea on here. It's an interesting idea for sure. Not sure how Minny fans would feel about it though.

It's not interesting at all. Taking Jones back would require A LOT more than Labanc as payment.

Jones/Dubnyk would be the tandem if Dubnyk and Donato do follow the rumours and go to San Jose.
