GMs always ask players with team trade list NMC for a list before the draft every year.

Meh. I’m not a big agree to disagree guy. If you want to ignore evidence, be my guest.

It’s really freaking obvious.

No evidence that he was in charge of the 2006 draft, just you speculating. If it was so obvious I wonder why the NHL didn't punish Boston since he wasn't allowed to participate in the draft 🤔

The draft was less than a month after he was signed. At the point Boston's staff already had their board and rankings in place. Now did PC and the staff talk pre-draft? Maybe, but he wasn't there draft day calling shots.

Truly remarkable it took Gorton such a long time to get another job. One of capitalism’s greatest failures.

He was hired by the Rangers immediately after being let go by Boston. He spent 3 years as the AD of player personnel, then 4 years as the AGM until Sather stepped down in 2015. He also is part of player selection group for team USA national team.

I'll give PC Chara and Savy, but there is nothing to prove he ran the show for the 2006 draft. Your not going to change my mind amd im not going to change your mind.

You’re darn right. Evidence is all that will do that. If gorton was running that draft and everyone knew it, don’t you think he would have gotten a job after 2011?

If this rumour is true, it would be insane to move Rask to a divisional rival. NEVER IN A MILLION YEARS.

He was already under contract the Rangers as their AGM. Funny the Bruins wanted to interview Gorton in 2015 when they fired PC, but the Rangers denied the request. Wonder why they would want to interview a guy they fired 🤔

The anti Tuukka Bruins fans are in for a rude awakening because there's no surefire NHL option coming through the pipes, and there aren't any options available to Boston who are anywhere near Tuukka. I don't know how you trade Rask and improve your goaltending situation. I don't even know if you can trade him and break even on your goaltending situation.

I think they would get something back for Rask as G but agree. Not going to get a vezina winning goalie and that was a big problem in the playoffs this year. Halak was semi hurt and definitely not ready to play. Maybe if the season kept going Halak could have kept the wheels on the bus but not this way.

Sweeney won GM of the year. He’s got his issues but he’s pretty darn good overall.

He did have to clean up a mess that PC left him. Look what PC did in EDM. they have 2 studs and can’t even make playoffs. You may consider them #1 and #2 in the NHL.

Edmonton should trade McDavid to the Bs just in the name of making hockey interesting again. Retain $2M, take Debrusk, Studnicka, and McAvoy and call it a day.

McDavid wants to play in Boston anyway.
