That's not even close to enough for Dumba, and you have the Wild adding a pick?

I think gaudreau being ufa in two years and almost certainly not staying ends the discussion

Minnesota wants centers and the Calgary trade is pointless for the Jets as it fills no needs especially considering Gaudreau's age and term.

Dumba is expensive and a major liability. His strength is his offense which has been subpar. The wild get a young 3rd line center and a fourth-line player

Then we'll keep Dumba.

Gaudreau is only 27 and is a better player than Laine. Laine can really only score while Gaudreau can drive the play and has elite speed and hands

I'm assuming you don't look at advanced stats so here are some stats that show just how bad Dumba is on the wild:
17th on the team for FF%
2nd worst on the team for most shots against
Tied for first on the team for most goals against
21st on the team for GF%
2nd on team for most scoring chances against
2nd on team for most high danger scoring chances against
3rd on the team for worst on-ice save percentage

Can really only score, had more assists then goals but let's keep up this false narrative, think it's hilarious that literally being good at the hardest thing to do in hockey is somehow viewed as a negative, too ****in funny!

I never said scoring is a negative thing. But Laine is not even close to being WPG best player and since the jets have a lackluster defense, a player who is better all-around would be more beneficial
Patrik Laine:
(stats are based on players who have played 500 minutes or more. this leaves only 16 players)
13th on the team in CF% (the higher the better)
6th on the team in most shots for (the higher the better)
5th on the team in most shots against (the lower the better)
2nd on the team in most goals for (the higher the better)
5th on the team in most goals against (the lower the better)
7th on the team in most scoring chances for (the higher the better)
5th on the team in most scoring chances against (the lower the better)
5th on the team in most high danger scoring chances for (the higher the better)
5th on the team in most high danger scoring chances against (the lower the better)

Laine is really just an offensive player who can score. He doesn't drive play well and is terrible defensively:

Other then Ehlers he was their best forward this season and it wasn't close.

Ya no. I'm assuming you won't care anyway because people never value advanced stats despite it showing how good a player really is.
I averaged where Laine ranks amongst forwards on his team in 17 different advanced stat categories and he actually is the 6th best forward on the team out of 9.

My favorite part is how you make trades for other teams really good high end players that you know are lowball offers, and then when they decline and say they'd rather have their players, you start telling them how bad their players are.

It's not that the players are bad it's that they aren't a good fit for that team. The same way you wouldn't put Ovechkin on the penalty kill. Just because Ovi isn't a good fit in there doesn't mean he's a bad player
