Who knows but wont be shocked

Created by: Philu916

Initial Creation Date: Oct. 4, 2020

Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
Simply put, the chemistry with Panarin is there and reports are Strome would be willing to bet on himself to repeat with Panarin. Reports also that Nashville wants to start a rebuild to an extent. The scratches battle it out for 6/7C spot and 4C spot. Other option rather than burying Smith would be to do a Staal type of trade again to save $3M more in cap space but no idea. Also won’t be shocked if Buch is dealt if Strome isn’t Gortons answer for 1 more year at 2C.

Nashville’s d men aren’t the problem, they’re cheap and solid af. They gonna move a forward.

IMO a getting close to fair but not acceptable return

I dont thin Nashville could realistically do a rebuild. Most of their forwards are overpaid which means no ones gonna want them, but their D isn't the problem because it is very good. They are very similar to Minnesota too good for a rebuild, but not good enough to win the cup

I think you need to throw a prospect in gor 2 years at that cap hit ekholm is amazing, not to mention the extension potential. He could be a key part to stabilizing the team during a rebuild and supporting a young defense, i think they want the pick and solid prospect throw Miller in there.

I don't know about that. Turris and Bonino are probably the only over paid forwards on nashville. I mean johansen and duchene both have 1c ability in a pinch and forsberg is a 25+ goal scorer at 6mil its not like lucic or okposo here' they have mostly reasonable contracts. That being said thier d is where thier real value is so if they're rebuilding they'll have to sell some of it. They could trade some d abd forwards for picks and prospects, capitalize on the cap space for more picks and prospects. Its a great time to rebuild there assets have value.

Most contending teams have a 1c and are looking for a 2c and in that case they wouldn't want to pay 8M for a second line center. And just my opinion but I feel like Duchene is bad luck

I don't disagree abou duchene but i bet buffalo takes johansen off nashville's hands for picks. They only have staal for a year, still need a right winger anyway, i definately trade reinharts rights for johanssen, easily next years first if they wanted that instead. If eichel goes down for a stretch a guy who can fill in (unquestionably) would be great.
