Jack Johnson kills like 2/3 of Murray's value. Maybe a 4th or a 5th is more realistic

Murray is the cost of dumping Johnson. Murray and Johnson for future considerations should be fair.

i think if you go by the charts. Dropping from a mid round 1st to a late round 2nd, is probably more than 2/3 the value.
Just to be fair.

you should have.

Pick 14 is worth 29.8.
Pick 45 lime top mid of 2nd round is worth 7.2
50 is 5.8

I mean DAL is what pick 60 ish so 60 is 3.8.
is 3.5 less than 2/3 of 29.8.........yeah clearly it is.
I mean really you should be offering a better pick LOL

OTT does not need Matt Murray, Dorion himself said they will go with their G Prospects, they are not trading picks for something they do not need, nor want.

Chicago just cleared Maata for free at a higher cap hit for one less year, Staal cost the equivalent of a 2020 3rd as a straight dump. Chicago/NYR both have more serious cap concerns than Pittsburgh

Obviously Maata is a better player, but people seem to really have trouble separating JJ as a player from his contract

Is he one of the worst players in the league? Yes
Is his contract that hard to dump? Absolutely not, especially when GMs clearly assign value to that kind of player for some reason

Think fans are going to be surprised by whatever ends up happening with him, Pittsburgh has very little incentive to pay a heavy price to dump him

There's data on the value of picks, after the first round it's pretty much a crap shoot

The drop-off from mid first round pick to second round pick is substantial, especially compared to the drop off to other rounds
