VAN doesn't need anymore bottom six forwards (Weal), they probably aren’t looking at upgrading the left side of the defence unless it’s a solid top 4 (Mete), and they don’t want to trade a player like MacEwen. Although MacEwen is definitely not untouchable, he fills a roster spot cheaply (much needed) while offering intangibles that the team lacks (physicality and a willingness to drop the gloves).

I would, if he had one yar remaining instead of two. MTL will have Gallagher, Tatar, Danault, Armia, and KK to resign next year and can't afford to be paying Beagle as well.
