Yeah that’s gonna be a no thanks from the Sharks. I’d have interest in Buchnevich, but not at the expense of hertl. And certainly not if we have to take back Strome.

The Flames have no interest in DeAngleo, let along for Hanifin.

We just fired a bigot coach less than a year ago, we aren't going to go and acquire a bigot defensemen to replace him. We'd rather have better defense and infinitely better character in Hanifin.

I'm not sure Hanifin is a great target. He is young and relatively cheap, but he's really struggled defensively lately. Him and Trouba would be no better then Skjei-Trouba I fear...

No one wants or has any respect for Strome or ADA. There is 0 chance of any offer sheets and we can sign them to reasonable contracts. No need to move them.

The Rangers need to have enough cap space to pay their bonuses which is at least around 4 million and I don't think Byfuglien would come out of retirement to be a 3rd pairing d-man.

Jesper Fast isn't getting that contract from NYR. We're not trying to cripple our cap space.

if i had to bet, majority of the people in charge of hockey teams are conservatives. i doubt deangelo's views bothers them like they bother you and others.

i would have agreed before yesterday. jeff gorton said he is trying to get fast signed. fast wants btwn 3.4-4 mill. rangers have a history with over paying free agents.

Jeff Gorton needs to settle down on his contracts a little. $8M for Trouba, $6.5M for Kreider, $3-4M for Fast? His seat is gonna start cooking soon.

Strome would absolute not be a fit for SJ, especially with the awful contract he is about to get.

has byfuglien said he is retired? i'm not sure. the 3rd pair d can go to many other ufa's.

correct me if im wrong but teams are allowed to go 7% over the cap on bonuses. if thats correct, which i think is, we will be fine with around 3 mill space plus the 7%

Well, You could take him to arbitration and they'll reward a 1-year deal?

Yeah great idea. Bet on a guy with huge inflated numbers for one year and lose your great center

I wasn't talking about the trade. Just a thought on a cheap-acquired gamble.

I dunno it might be alright but I don’t necessarily think it would be a match made in heaven. The main problem with him is he’s gonna want 6.5+ million and I don’t think that’s warranted whatsoever. Plus I see him as an okay at best 2C but more suitably a very good 3C. We just simply can’t afford him. Probably a similar situation to the Rangers lol.

Suppose maybe not. Sharks are looking for a strict RW too. Maybe Ondrej Kase from Boston? I believe they want an upgrade.

Kase would be perfect imo. Someone like Anderson or Virtanen would also fit

includes non-constructive replies to Armchair-GM threads such as "lol", "terrible" "not realistic". If you want to criticize an armchair-gm team, your post should focus on answering the question "why"

Kase would be a great fit if the Bruins for some reason want to get rid of him.
