I want to add Kempný, I do not want to lose Thompson.
I think you have the correct value of Kempný, I do not want to give up Casey or Tage.
Casey may not be a day to day top six but he is not a bust.
Thompson was the best Amerk for a long period.
Cozens will most likely be better than Reinhart.
While neither Borgen nor Thompson would make the Caps line up this year. Both could be Sabre's next year.

Caps have two RHD under contract at any level right now. If Laviolette cares about handedness, then Borgen likely sees a few games this year.

By total points, last year, the Caps have some center prospects who might be ahead of Thompson, but Thompson played in so few games, that he might also be ahead of a lot of the Caps AHL guys. He might also end up in the mix for at least a 14th forward spot in WSH.

I think it's possible the Caps have to go higher on that pick. Maybe Arizona's third this year? I don't know.

I think Thompson's future will be as a RW.
Big players take longer to develop.
I think less than 10 NHL players are bigger than Thompson.
IMO he was ready last year but was injured early in the year, I hope he completely recovers.
I see him a mid six RW, but I saw the same future Justin Bailey and Nick Baptiste.
BTW, I met Justin in the airport and is a very nice person. I was really hoping he would make it Buffalo as his father played for the Bills.

Maybe not. It'd be a pretty cool story if he and Wilson made friends, though, and nobody would mess with the two of them together. On the subject, some Penguins fans had a plan a couple weeks ago to trade ZAR for Hagelin. Terrible trade for WSH, but it opens up 1.75M of cap space. Either one gives Wilson the chance to show he can leave the game on the ice and rise above nonsense. Showing that he's a nice guy off the ice might lead to Wilson not getting suspended all the time for the exact same stuff that, like, Anders Lee or Joe Thornton can get away with.

Main piece of that Vegas proposal was McNabb. They're looking for cap space to sign Pietrangelo. I think McNabb is basically Dillon, a little younger and 1M cheaper. Seems like a good option for the Caps?

The other two are a plan B for if WSH can't get OEL. Just ways to create cap space for Van and Ari while making WSH slightly better.
