If Laine signs at that amount, he'll be staying in Winnipeg.

Gawd I hope so, unless he doesn't want to be in Winnipeg if this is all he's looking for I don't know why he wouldn't be signed already.

Why would Chevy have any interest in a 30 year old Adam Henrique and a 28 year old Josh Manson? You don't trade young 22 year old players for aging players not how it works in the NHL. No way i see Chevy accepting that offer. And for that price range on Patrik Laine he'd just stay in Winnipeg.

They’re getting a 21 year old future top 6 center and 2 1sts as well, one of which has the potential to be a top 5 pick in either 2021 or 2022 as the Ducks probably won’t be good in either season with or without Laine. Manson fills a hole on the Jets blue line and Henrique fills an immediate hole at 2nd line center until Lundestrom is ready for more responsibility. On top of all of that, Laine doesn’t want to be a Jet and the Jets don’t see him as a top line RW. The relationship has already grown stale and it’s just best to move on. This is a great trade for both teams and no one has an advantage here. You can’t just base a trade off of only veteran players.

future top 9 C*

I think his potential is top 6. He’s literally a Swiss Army knife and the type of player that any team would beg for on their 2nd line. The only reason the Ducks don’t keep him is because they really don’t have a place for him right now.

I'd be totally shocked if Chevy traded Patrik Laine to a Western Conference team, I see him going east. He'd probably rather only face him 2 times then the normal 4 times in the Western Conference.

Well if it’s to the Ducks, it would be 3 times. They aren’t in the same division. I can see him at least listening to what the Pacific division teams have to offer and he’ll most definitely take the best possible offer if a Pacific Division team’s offer is can’t miss.
