I can’t stress enough how much the Canucks shouldn’t trade for OEL. They already have him but better and younger in Hughes. That cap will b better spent next offseason on Petey and Hughes

I cant stress enough that the Coyotes are getting rid or OEL due to lowering their money, not increasing their money which that trade right there does. Why would they get rid of OEL than.

trading a package include a 1st round pick for OEL would be the most Jim Benning thing that Jim Benning has ever done - Hockey Guy

Considering it's only 2.25 more than Eriksson's cap hit, it's easily worth it if we can send him back. Both would be around for the first year of Pettersson and Hughes extensions, and the Canucks have no cap problems after that season.

They're increasing their cap hit, but massively lowering money. How are people not getting this.

How so? Louie is 3 million, Jake will probably sign for 3. Olli is another million, So how are they massively lowering their cap hit. Also if they are still looking at signing Hall, how are they supposed to if Louie's cap is 6 million on the books?

Loui is owed 4 million in total, Jake should be signed for 2.5 anything over is an overpayment Olli is Making 800 grand, OEL is owed in the next two years alone 18.5mill so lets round the Canucks contracts up, they are owed 7 million, they are still saving over 11.5 million in CASH in the next two years, That's quite a bit of money for a struggling team financially
