They're not trading their only center...and they don't need Ristolainen.

That’s probably the point. Rangers fans think they can get Eichel for Howden and 22nd overall.

That’s just not true. Most fans don’t want him because his actual price is high. Every fan would take him it all it took was what is constantly offered here (ADA, Strome, Buch, Car 1st and ancillary pieces like 3rds or B prospects)
This is clearly a troll post showing the absurdity in the above for Eichel trades.

The realistic price for Eichel is somewhere in the middle of the Buffalo fans posts and the Rangers fans posts. Sabres are too dumb to actually trade him. Asking price is so high so they can say they tried, but didn't get the right deal. For some reason they want to keep him and lose with him, than deal him to rebuild.

ZIBA @5mm > Eichel @10mm -- these trades dont happen in a vacum. if eichel is getting moved it needs to be to a win now team, not NYR team that is loaded with youth (esp on D) and looking to hold onto their cap friendly players theyve worked so hard to acquire.

Yeah no one has offered howden and 22 for eichel. It usually is ADA (4th most points by a defenseman), kakko (last years 2nd overall) or buch (top six winger), chytil (good center prospect), 22 and a first next year (if not more). But sure, go after a center that outproduced eichel (keep in mind he didn’t really play a ton on the same line as Panarin) for literal trash. No one wants risto and you are offering a 1st two years in the future and a no name prospect.

Zib @5 > eichel @ 10.
75 in 57 > 78 in 68
41 in 57 > 36 in 68

Zib is also better defensively.

Zib is good don’t get me wrong.. but come on Eichel has been better consistently. Zib had a better one year, and he’s only got 2 years at that 5, which will undoubtedly jump high 9/10 after that. And Eichel is 4 years younger? Anyways, things that NYR fans want to give up for Eichel aren’t gonna get it done, just like obviously this troll post was a troll post
