Got to feel bad for the 2nd round picks. The absurd expectations because of a name.....I give him 1/2 a season on SJS.

Very cheap price for a versatile center that the Sharks desperately need. Good trade for SJS, don't really know what the plan is fro Guerin and Wild tho.

Happy for Donato and the Sharks. I'm glad Billy G sent him away. Needs playing time that we can't give him. Damn you too many wingers! But honestly good for both Donato and San Jose. Hope he flourishes there!

To me a good deal for the Sharks. Gets a player that you play at the NHL level for a pick 3/4 years away potentially.

He has a chance to earn a top 6 role for us. If he shows up he’ll get a full time job. If he doesn’t we bought him low and won’t hurt us long term.

Mandatory reminder that MiN gave up Coyle for Donato. What a disastreous trade...

The room was already big enough and Donato wasn't taking much space..

As a Wild fan, I'm not sure if the Wild know what the Wild are doing. Hopefully, there's a plan?

So Minny turned Charlie Coyle into a 2021 3rd and Cade Webber...wow!

Just to revisit some of those comments from the BOS/MIN trade:

Boston gave up too quickly on Donato

not as much as donato should have fetched

Boston overpaid

Donato’s long term potential where he could at least match, and likely exceed, Coyle’s production.

This trade and the Dubnyk trade seem to be very bad for the Wild, but if you combine them, Wild saves over 5M in cap and gets two mid-round picks for guys that weren't going to play for us next year.

I'm just trying to stay positive here...

And we traded Brent Burns for Coyle+. The trickle down effect of letting Burns go looks awful if you follow the trail.

The Minnesota Wild have to the most directionless team in sports.

Do you still think Boston overpaid for Coyle?

Says the fan of a team that's had 2 #1 picks in the last 4 years and nothing to show for it.

In hindsight, Wild gave a C they could use for Donato and 4th but was Coyle gonna extend in Minnesota?
Dont know

Looks like Wild took the L in that trade to me.

Hard to imagine what Guerin has in mind here. It isn't even San Jose's own pick, which might at least be in the top third of the round.
