I don't think the hawks take that, just because Murray hasn't been good, at all, and Strome is 3 years younger. I think Bowman's only interested because he's looking for a fair price trade-wise and contract wise. Murray wants $8M meanwhile Lehner just signed for $5Mx5. Bowman had contract talks with Murray and the sides are far apart.

Murray is never getting 8 million from anyone. Not in this market.

Agreed, if Lehner gets $5M, he's going to have a tough time negotiating for anything more than that.

Here we go again...

A trade that makes sense value wise on paper is Saad for Murray not Strome.

Furthermore, signing Strome for 4 years walks him right to free agency; not smart

I hadn't heard the $8m was the ask from Murray. I get starting high, but that's crazy.

This report says 6-8, but I can't remember where I saw 8, perhaps Friedman on Twitter. But if Lehner signs for 5, there's no reason a team pays him any more than that.

I maybe could have talked myself into a $4.5mx4 deal (before Lehner's deal), but I wouldn't go more than that.

Agreed. There is a twitter quote of Pierre McGuire on a radio show stating Murray will go to arbitration and ask for 8-9 million. This was posted in August of this year.
