Because anyone on the planet could play with McDavid. Thought Benson might actually work ok. I didn't put him in because as a Flames fan I hope he stays in Finland!! Not sure what he would look for in a contract to come back over to the NHL.

Why would the oilers trade for a dman with that high of a cap hit if he;s gonna just play in the bottom pair

Because he’s a solid vet to play with Bouchard, he plays there until Klefbom is back and he can be moved at the deadline and Bear can move down.
