There is no way that a cash-strapped Coyotes would trade their best young player/prospect (Hayton) even if the Leafs for some crazy reason decided to include Nick Robertson in this.

You have him on the first line, there is your answer. Johnnson and Kerfoot are 3rd liners on the Leafs

My honest assessment of the (Coyotes) situation is that Dvorak can certainly be had, and it wouldn't take a lot. I think in reality, a fair comp deal would be Kerfoot for Dvorak straight up. Coyotes value savings, even if it's $1 million in savings. Next, Leafs have to consider the factor that Dvorak and Marner has some pretty good chemistry from their time together in the OHL. Not saying it raises the price, but chemistry amongst new teammates is always a plus when considering a trade and Dvorak can play the wing as well (just a thought). Next, Dvorak can kill penalties pretty decently while Kerfoot only really started doing it in the Qualifier round of these playoffs. He was decent at it mind, but I think Dvorak has the edge there. There stat lines are relatively similar, though I would argue, career-wise, Kerfoot has been the better offensive producer. Dvorak is better in the faceoff dot. Does he improve the Leafs? Yes. It is a substantial improvement, at this point, no? Especially depending what you have to give up. My thought is that the deal would have probably include Hossa's contract coming back to Toronto as part of this, and the Leafs sending the Yotes a relatively high pick. Maybe Kerfoot, Bracco and a 4th for Dvorak and Hossa? I think the Leafs would try to pry Crouse as well, but I am not sure what the Leafs would then be prepared to give up IF they only want to hold onto their 1st and 2nd in this year's draft to either use to draft or for an upgrade on D.

Is on the Leafs. Riellys' previous best partner was Hainsey, so 1 it's a low bar & 2 Rielly just needs someone who can be responsible & reliable in their own end.

Check the stat line bud - Dvorak is at best a slight upgrade on Kerfoot - it's irrelevant that he's the Yotes " best player" which can be very easily debated

He's only there due to his familiarity with Marner and with his 4+ cap hit I'll be putting him in the most successful position to succeed

It's a bit more than a million in savings - Dvorak is owed 3.4 this season , 5 next, 5.7 and 5.7 . Kerfoot is 2.6 , 2.7 and 2.7

Haha looks good for a simpler deal, but like I said as well, I think the Leafs would find some way to also acquire Lawson Crouse. The deal with the Coyotes could be substantially bigger if they can find a new home for Andersen then parlay those assets into Keumper as well.
