Leafs aren't throwing Holl away for nothing, he's not a cap dump. Makes a pretty good pairing with Muzzin.

Columbus deal is meh. Don't think the Leafs are trading the 15th pick unless it's for a bigger impact player like a d-man, and Columbus has said they want a centre for one of their goalies. But value is decent I guess, just not realistic.

Leafs aren't moving the better, younger, cheaper d-man AND adding in a top 10 goalie for a #4-5 d-man. Easy pass.

I would say the Chicago value is technically there but they don’t make this deal. Too many options in free agency and they’re not in win now mode. Better off keeping Murphy.

I agree with @Ryminister_27 that the Blue Jackets decline this offer. Columbus has repeatedly said they won't move either half of their goalie tandem as part of any deal that doesn't return a 2C to Columbus. You've offered us a middle-6 wing (nobody's mistaking Mango for top-line material) and a first-round pick. Not saying the value is WILDLY off, but it doesn't seem like it advances us enough towards our goal.

I guess Andersen is an upgrade to Delia, but Crow >>> Freddie.

Lol. Andersen is a top 10 goalie, Crawford is closer to top 15 or 20. But sure. Keep the older, worse goalie.

Review the stats; if you had you'd clearly realize Crow is the better goalie sitting behind a worse defense then the Leafs. How many times did Andersen get pulled this year; 5 times? How many big games has Andersen shown up for? How many rings....never mind you're not worth the time

Ry guy... You're never about to provide the amount of information I'm going to dump on you. BUT please provide support and I'll read it.

Crow >>> Freddie

Crow last year was the single best goalie in the entire NHL when it came to high danger situations. Freddie Anderson was 48th in the NHL. (***That's after I filtered the goalies for a min 1000 minutes to remove the rif raf/one off situations) That doesn't mean Freddie will be bad in the future. BUT he wasn't good last year. TOR defense was actually better than Chicago's too. There's a 19 goal differential here...and this is ONLY High Danger situations. This is a HUGE difference and it's an important stat. So what happens when your defense is bad??? Freddie failed while Crow stood tall. HUGE difference. Leaf's were 25th in Goals allowed. Only changing goalies for high danger situations...ALONE....would have made them 13th. AND that's just 23% of the chances. sooo...The Leafs would likely be top 10...if they had Crow last year.

There's obviously a lot that goes into this. It's not as easy as plug one guy in vs the other. I blame Keefe more than Babs for running Freddie into the ground. They need a real backup...not Hutch...not Campbell. A real one, but they don't have one and they don't have the cap space for one either. All that said Crow/Freddie are NOT "very much the same".

https://www.naturalstattrick.com/playerteams.php?fromseason=20192020&thruseason=20192020&stype=2&sit=5v5&score=all&stdoi=g&rate=n&team=ALL&pos=S&loc=B&toi=1000&gpfilt=none&fd=&td=&tgp=410&lines=single&draftteam=ALL

Crow's been better than Freddie for a long time. Not just this year....in fact there's only been 1 year in his last 5 years where Freddie's been better than Crow. NOW, if you were to say injuries...ok, but Crow's last injury was 3 years ago. A factor...sure, but not likely a huge factor. Crow should 100% tandem, but he's also 100% better than Freddie.
