Description

If Mtl trade their 1st round pick who do you think (would like) to comeback. Bergevin said he wants a top 6 winger with terms.

Options:
Rakell, Silfverberg (Ducks are rebuilding and the 16th overall would help them in their rebuild)
Kessel (shed salary and with Hall leaving, OEL on the block the Yotes appaear to rebuild again. That would help them since they don't have a 1st round pick)
Neiderreiter (shed salary as they already have many top 6 guys. I don't see the canes paying him that much to be on the 3rd line)
Nyquist (Try to keep some options open)
Nelson, Eberle, Bailey (Islanders need to free some salary to resign Barzal, Pulock and Toews. One of them might be trade this offseason)
Killorn (free some salary to resign Sergachev, Cirelli)

The only player worth the 16th OA is Rakell, all the other names are player overpaid ( outside Nelson but he’s a Center )

Nice list. Some are out out the box and I like that.

But nothing really worth a first if no salary goes the other way.

I dont see the 2 interesting ones (Rackell & Neider) on the market.

I’d like Meier. I think he’d fit well in mtl. Would cost more then 16AO but a player like Domi going the other way they don’t need a full rebuild in SJ amyways

I don't think a lot of these guys are worth 16th ovr. Kessel has a bad contract for instnace and he's much older now.
No way Killorn is worth 1st rd. Not a fan of taking him to help the TBL keep Sergachev.
Personally Id go for Silverberg but not trade 1st rd.

My choice would be Rakell. He can play at all positions, he can score and his cap hit is pretty reasonable. Sure the last two seasons were difficult for him but I think part of it is due to the fact the Ducks weren't a good team either.
