Where to begin with this one.
Kuemper is one of the best goalies in the world signed at an incredible bargain. Not sure what universe we're in where Liljegren is considered to be valued more than him by a fair amount.
Spencer Knight projects as an elite goalie long term and was just taken 13th overall. So why does Florida trade that for a backup goalie and a couple picks that more than likely amount to nothing of significance?
Jordan Staal is a better hockey player than Alex Kerfoot right now. Getting an upgraded player while cutting cap and asking Carolina to eat half of his salary for three years costs a lot more than Justin Holl (but it's pretty much a wash since you got a third back).
Huberdeau > Nylander by a fair amount. Johnsson certainly doesn't make up for it, especially not when you're getting a pick in the deal to go with it.
Why would anybody give a first for one year of Freddy in this goalie market?
I hope I hit on everything
