Kurls is a better 4C. I dunno if he would be good as a scoring 3C.

Hearing that Detroit has interest in Tyson Jost, But seriously doubt they'll surrender a 2nd round pick for him he's pretty much worth a 3rd rounder at best.

Not sure I'd even give up a 3rd. It would be nice if Detroit could draft their own bottom 6 forwards instead have other teams force their bottom 6 on Detroit for 2nds and 3rds.

Yeah i wouldn't even surrender a 3rd for him either, Sounding like he's not really cutting it there in Colorado for that matter.

I'd be more interested in shaping a deal with boston for debrusk. Zads+ for debrusk, we don't need to trade him for a 4C when we have multiple of those in the system already

He was rushed out of college too soon but he is a former 10OA pick, he's still young and has room to grow and hasn't been able to find his footing, being shuffled around a lot. His defensive game has gotten better so he's become more of a two-way guy. He may yet become a really solid 3C type player but I understand the desire to develop your own guys. That has been a common complaint amongst Avs fans, that they rely too heavily on trades and FA's rather than developing their own talent. I do think some of that criticism is misplaced but it's more valid for a team that is in complete rebuild mode.

Are they looking at moving DeBrusk? Is he blocking a younger guy or are you thinking they need more help on D with Krug likely moving on? I mean, this guy is young and a legit 2nd line scoring wing with room to grow, right? Id definitely give them Z plus a decent prospect for him.

i am not entriely sure, just some 'rumors' about them looking to move him. Who knows if they are true, but if they are i think with them losing krug and probily chara in another year zads might be able to step into the left side

The only one I've heard is the Kuraly/Z trade but that seems more straight-up and doesn't cost the B's as much. But I'd definitely be down for DeBrusk - way better option than Killorn in terms of age and development potential. Probably even on price.
