Laf will be a very good player, wont be generational though, so I would rather just keep those pieces.

Well this trade literally has Romanov and Caufield in it. 16th OA + Domi would be worth more than Suzuki.

I think it makes perfect sense for both teams. NYR bolsters their left d and centre position and get a few good young futures. Montreal gets a super star winger to compliment their young centremen.

The point im making is I doubt Montreal will want to pay the huge price to get him

Last time the 1OA was traded was 17 years ago which was outside of the cap era and add the flat cap due to Covid means the likelihood of 1OA moving is even worse. If it happens it will be with LA or OTT so we can take a top C, +, +. Not a generational player is also quite a statement but we all have the right to be wrong.

Well in the above trade Suzuki isn't involved. It's Domi, Caufield, romanov and 16OA. BIG package. But they keep KK and Suzuki and have a lot of really good players.

I think MTL can spend Domi, Romanov, Caufield and 16OA (Hendrix) for Laffy without blowing away their future... and NYR won't need to move away Kreider.
The probability is 0,0001% but value wise is acceptable for both side

Its a really big offer. I'm not sure I'd make if I was sure about Caufield .
