I'll never understand why teams continue to help TB out lol same thing happened last year. It's pretty much a one year thing anyway, Seattle will pick him up in the expansion draft

Not completely out of the woods yet, still need to trade Killorn or Yanni to have the minimum cap it will take to sign Serg and Cirelli

I wonder what they’ll get back for him, I honestly just see it being a 2nd, maybe only a 3rd. Still would be a win for T bay if it meant keeping all of their other great players

They’re going to have to pay for someone to take him

I was thinking the same thing. The team trading for Johnson has all the leverage though, they know TB needs to dump him to sign Serg/Cirelli/Cernak. I think a 3 or 4 is the price

LOL .. teams.are looking what is best for THEIR team and do a market deal .. they could get a crap about the other team as they competing for deal with 30 other teams.

The "how dare you help Tampa" is intellectually insulting

UH NO .. lots of clueless people here ..

As for Tampa .. they could trade Paquette Colbuen and Mc Ilhenny and keep Killorm and Gourde .. but it close

I would break out a Cuban if Gourde.is sent to Philly .. rumor!!!

Lol I'm not saying "how dare you help Tampa", I said what I said in jest, hence the "lol" after my statement. I'm just saying every year they're in a cap crunch and every year they find a way to weasel out of it

Yeah i doubt there many playoff contenders looking at 2C and can afford Johnson's $5M for 4 more seasons.

Recall Johnsons NTC expires in June 2021 ...so if trade works out; great ...if not he dumped to Seattle or other deal .. try to think of TJ ... and Klllorn Palat Stamkos and Gourde as just a series of 1.year contracts despite NTC crap

The TB insider for the Athletic Joe Smith said so.

You're not helping Tampa out you're taking on a top 6 forward at below market value.

Are you though? Last I checked a deal hasn't been made yet. If he goes for a 2nd, I wouldn't say that's below market value at all.
