Yep, and it means about the same to me now as it did before...

Vegas has 0 Center depth. If you want a center prospect look elsewhere. This is an easy no for Vegas

Right so you continue to put out absolutely ridiculous proposals. What team in their right mind would trade literally their ENTIRE center depth for ANYTHING Nevermind that package.

You guys act like it’s such a burden taking on fleury, but he’s an instant starter and fan favorite the second he walks in the door.

Respectfully I think that trade is pretty bad for VGK. I'd say Dumba/Stalock for Fluery/Glass or Kerbs is a bit closer, don't blame either fanbase for saying they want a mid level prospect or pick added to either side. That leaves Greenway for a 1st and Roy which is never happening. Clearly the Fleury contract is a burden since it seems very unlikely in the current market that Fleury could be moved without sweetening the pot somehow.

Right, but Vegas HAS to trade him.

Right so trade fluery. Stop adding the extra stuff.

Fluery, and 29rh overall. Maybe a mid rounder next year will do. No need to add these centers, and glass and Krebs and Roy and etc etc etc.

Counterpoint, Minnesota has to trade Dumba. It’s possible to argue the whole “protect 8 skaters” but that’s just dumb. Dumba doesn’t fit our MO at the moment and he’s the best piece we have to fill big gaps either through a young player (Glass) or picks.

There’s just zero need to add Dumba to this. Trade fleury. Trade the first. Maybe a prospect but it’s not gonna be a Krebs/glass/Roy level. Probably not even Morzov

I’m interested to see what happens with Petro first. If he stays in St Louis I think it might be worth talking Glass/Krebs. But until then, I (a wild fan) am quite happy with Fleury for a 1st. Both sides won but minnesota wins a bit more.

I say stand pat. Suitors are exposing themselves now for Fleury. Carolina is interested.

I think the Fleury deal will happen after the draft, probably after FA. I would love to have him in MN at a full cap hit if a 1st (probably a 2nd) come back. Fleury makes a lot of sense for Minnesota at this point in time do fingers crossed.

Are we talking Fleury and a 1st for Stalock?

From the MN side I think they can't take on Fleury's full contract without moving Dumba. I don't mind a Stalock for Fleury and a 1st, I just like the idea of trying to get one of those young centres for Dumba.

I disagree. IF the Wild don’t trade Dumba, I wouldn’t hesitate to protect 8 skaters. Dumba is a much, much better hockey player than any of the forwards (Kunin or Greenway most likely) that would end up exposed. This is why the Wild need to try to swing for the fences to make a move like this one...because they do not need to trade Dumba.

I don’t disagree that Dumba is better than the forward group, but I don’t think he helps the team win now or in the long run. A package of futures is more beneficial to the team than 3 more years of Dumba even if he is a better player than what we have.

I like Dumba and what he brings to the Wild. He is all the things they don’t have enough of: scorer’s mentality, truculence, speed. He might make me want to throw a brick at the tv once or twice a game, but he is also one of the very few, truly exciting players the Wild have ever had. Make a list of players in Wild history that can bring you to the edge of your seat like Dumba can. My list is about 4 players long...Gaborik, Burns, Fiala, and Dumba. That’s it!
