NSH could probably just sign a 7/8 D in free agency for league minimum but that trade is fine. Not sure it's necessary for either team though.

Leafs aren't trading Marner.

Dermott > Anderson so that is a massive overpayment.

If Winnipeg makes that trade the leafs should do it but I'm not sure Johnsson can fetch a 2nd. I mean if he can that's awesome but I think Winnipeg may use their cap space elsewhere. They don't really need another winger.

No dermott is not worth Andy. Especially to cbj who have 10 nhl caliber defenseman.

Dermott has more trade value then Anderson. Columbus may not need him, but he has way more trade value. Anderson's season was riddled with injuries and when he did play he wasn't even on pace for 20 points. The leafs may consider Johnsson for Anderson but not much more then that.

Ok well take out chances with Andy. Andy just before this year put up 27 goals playing on the 2nd/3rd line all year (more third). This year he was injured from the start, day one of training camp. And dermott is stalling. Hasn't improved over the past 2 seasons. (Or what I’ve heard and been told).

Dermott is ready for a top 4 role. Muzzin and Reilly both got injured this season and he carried the back end during that time. People just say that sort of stuff because he plays for Toronto and leafs players are always underrated by other fans

I know leafs players all get a bad wrap. I really like the team. Especially the lower end guys like Johnson and kerfoot. I think they’d do well on other teams. However The Dermott stuff I heard from leafs fans including Steve dangle. Who has said he’s disappointed in Dermott not stepping up more. He’s just inconsistent. If he fixed those problems solid number 4 on a contender. Right now he is a reliable bottom pair guy. He’s got the potential but he’s hitting a wall right now. He’s gotta get through it. Heck bjorkstrand finally broke that wall last her and carried our offense. He’s a guy if he goes and plays on a high offense team. He’s netting 30 easy. While I believe at the same time andy would thrive as well playing for a high octane offense his play style fits cbj very well. And will return to at least a 20 goal pace at a minimum while impacting all areas of the ice.
