I think its solid for both teams. Pens want an impact player, and Tierney would give them a viable 3C

hes not a just a 3c hes a fine middle 6 center. can play 2c in a pinch just not as effective when he does.

Yeah but we have Sid and Malkin up there. I think if one of them gets hurt, I have more confidence in Tierney stepping in to fill the 2C role. Which is great for us

Tierney is tough to lose, he’s a veteran on this team, stabilizes the forward lines. I understand Murray is coming back, not my first choice but he’s alright. I wouldn’t sign Murray for longer than 2-3 years though, especially after his recent years numbers. He’s still an NHL starting goalie, just better to be cautious about term, for any goalie.
