Canes arent trading a 1st for Fleury.

I think the canes would offer a 2nd for fleury. I also saw that no one was willing to take on fleury for just a second. Canes reporter said it could be a first and a 2nd

Think the comments from the ‘insiders’ aren’t clear on this. I believe the Knights we’re willing to chip in picks, but weren’t wanting to retain. Knights were trying to entice a 3rd team to take the $3.5M AAV x 2 years.

Carolina is looking for the picks. Pretty sure they are not looking at Fleury to actually play for them. Similar to the Marleau trade this past offseason

Vegas isn't going to retain money in that deal... they'll need to package up a 1st or a high end prospect to move him. I could see the Wings being a partner for a trade, to then turn around and flip him to Carolina with half his salary retained, in exchange for someone they need to move out, like Gardiner?

Wings get a 2nd 2021 and a 3rd or 4th in 2022, we take all his salary.
