Better not. Hope it was a contingency in the trade.

He’s nothing special. Bothers the crap out of me but is a solid bottom pair guy. Our d is 10 deep and can’t keep all the scratched guys. Ok defensively and not good offensively.

can he play the pk? we're in serious need of a defenseman that can play the pk.

He can! But you didn't ask if he can play it WELL. I wouldn't rely on him for that, but Torts seemed to trust him.

You definitely are still going to be searching for a 2 C but what an absolute massive win on this trade.

What are your thoughts on this trade. I’m just happy we don’t have to look at bs like Andy for a 3rd and bottom pair dman making 3 mill. And try and explain Andy’s value and situation. It got so annoying.
Just an hour ago someone was telling me dermott had more value.

U think so? Even if he Bounces back to like 50-55 points and plays good d?

I freaking love this trade. You mean we moved a guy who'd be a middle-6 wing for us, and in exchange, we got the 2C we've been hunting AND a 3rd-rounder in a deep draft year? Totally on board. Much as it hurts to lose Andy, who's a really good player when healthy, this makes us better both now and in the medium-term, and allows us to get creative to fill other needs.

Domi is definitely overrated but not nearly as much as Anderson was. Getting the extra was insane!

Not a 2C. A top 6 winger.

Believe what you want, but Domi went 28-44-72 in 18-19 as a C, and 17-27-44 (51 pt pace) in 19-20 as a wing. I'm gonna go ahead and say he's a 2C.

Well I’m pumped about this trade. Even if he doesn’t work out as a center, which I think he will. He’ll go as a winger on the top line with Dubois and bjorkstrand and it’s gonna be awesome to watch.

Center is where Domi will thrive , but it will require 2, or 3 ingredients : one winger with size ,one winger good defensively, and ideally the right winger has a good shot as Domi can pass really well from left to right.

Oliver Bjorkstrand and Boone Jenner, COME ON DOWN! Bjorkstrand fulfills both of the latter requirements, and Jenner the former.

EDIT: honestly, Liam Foudy could be the LW instead of Jenner. He's 6'2 and absolutely flies... man, that would be a fun line.

PLD is looking at those 2 contracts and saying WTF.

I honestly think Foudy will be a better center for CBJ. Just wait. He's already showed how slick he is.

PLD would probably be fine with it, given that he'd get a new deal once the market returns to normal. And I think Foudy will be a really good C down the road, but this allows him to develop before being thrown into the deep end [cough MITTELSTADT cough]

Just noticed that. I mean it’s similar to the point bridge. But it’s ok pay him the same as domi. I wouldn’t go any higher

All he needs is 2 better players on his wings and someone else to take faceoffs and he'll be fantastic.
