Keep ericsson. WPG won't take that deal with him in it./

Nashville is making a push for the Cup, they have the cap space and could use all the offense they can get. A veteran blueliner can't hurt.

Adding Ericsson allows them to move Mark Stuart and keep a veteran in the 5/6 pairing. The Wings have to move either Ericsson or Howard to make the cap space to sign either or both young defensemen.

NSH has 4 better D men by a wide margin though. $5m prorated just isn't worth it at all. They wouldn't need a D man who is mostly offensive minded.

As for Ericssson, WPG has a bright future. They don't want or need a long-term bad contract because they could have some big contracts due...
