I understand why they didn’t. He’d have been my pick if it weren’t for the concussions.

No, get the 3rd best defensive prospect is smart. Rangers have unreal offense with kakko and laf now

It’s a smart pick for a couple reasons, one they screwed the devils out of getting him, two he’s a very good get at 19 and 3 we’re thin at rhd prospects (yes Ik we have studs there but still),(not to mention they prob have something brewing with a deangelo trade). And they clearly didn’t love the forward prospects still on the board and lapierre was too risky for them

We still have Lundkvist in the pipeline and Fox and Trouba in the NHL currently. I think this will look like a massive mistake in three years when Lapierre is taking over for Backstrom and lighting up the Rangers for the Caps...

they're one of the teams most positioned to take that kind of risk

That's how I see it too... we got Laf, everything after that in the first round is bonus... and we took a guy at a position we have a surplus of. Kind of mind boggling.

Nope, and I don't like the pick for WSH either.
They are saying Neck issues...I'm calling BS. Head aches from the neck are easily diagnosed. They are posterior skull/head and easily triggered with compression on the neck aka spurlings test.
I think he got a doctor willing to tell people what they wanted to hear.

Right something seems off about that whole thing. I hope it works out for the best for him, but that’s too much of a risk to me.

Unless Gorts has a big trade planned that involves Nils I would’ve drafted Hendrix or Mavrik

No chance, NJD were probably salivating at chosing him, hence shakir hamadulingngxzytbxcktdh. We dont gave to face Braden 👍

ADA and Strome may be on the move, its possible the team we might be making a deal with wanted Schneider or Lundkvist and what could be returning might be a C...They have their reasons

I would've preferred a center. Rest of our picks in this draft might as well just be swinging on risky but high ceiling centers. Were pretty much chilling everywhere else

No idea who this guy was, but he’s scoring at a .5 ppg clip in the KHL as an 18 year old D man, so who knows. Surprised the Rangers traded up to take Schneider with all of the d prospects in their system though, especially with C prospects like Lapierre and Zary on the board
