I have never seen anyone in this draft play, even once.

but a few things:

1.) I believe he was like 4 days away from being eligible for last years draft. I don't know if that matters as far as his development, but some people are saying it does.
2.) The thing about eichel is that you shouldn't have to invest significant assets in finding people to play with him. he makes everyone better. you want people you draft high to play away from him, making it a balanced, strong team. its one of the reasons i hate reinhart playing with him, despite proving he doesn't have to.

i have no idea if he will be good, or if rossi will be better, but drafting people 8th overall to play with eichel is not good asset management.

Ok first of all Rossi is 5'9, the same height as vup winning 1C Brayden Point. Even if he was 5'8 another example would be from the exact same team Tyler Johnson, whp has played tons of center in the top 6. Finally, Rossi is build like a tank, hes short nut incredibly fit with Marty St. Louis like quads (coincidentally another bolt). He was definitely the better choice at #8

I break it down like this- i wanted rossi or perfetti, i absolutely wanted no part of askarov or lundell, and i was pretty sure we were gonna draft holtz. So what this tells me, is they have a plan, it includes jack eichel staying here and they believe in cozens (if there is literally any doubt, you draft one of the centers here), and a one line team just got a little deeper.

Kempny's out 6-8 months with a torn achilles, so you might want to undo the Caps trade.
