He is a light Brett Pesce and find him to be an underrated player. In a league that values scoring from defenders above all else, I dont know that his contract is a steal. That is about where he should come in. I guess if you wanted to call him a steal because he is underrated then, I will go with that.

It's a steal because older and worse dmen of the same style signed more expensive contract

Demelo on the first line, I don't like it. Solid 3rd pairing with the ability to move up when needed.

They got insanely beat up by Calgary, way too small to be a top pairing, DeMelo is not a top pair dman, Morrissey needs a bigger D partner.

Might be able to live with him on the second and see how the young guns play with him. No matter what WPG must target a better dman than DeMelo to play with Morrissey. 1st liners must be strong in all areas. DeMelo doesn't seem to have it offensively and is not a big guy. Don't know how negotiations are going with say a Pulock but maybe a package with Pionk plus for Severson?
