      Remove the 1st in the Fleury trade as that pick would go from VGK to DET, and add a 2nd going Vegas' way(which is also going to DET).

      did you misread the whole deal? Because the OP moved the first to Detroit in the end.

      We art giving you 1st to take 50% of fleury, carolina would be giving us a 2nd to take 3.5 of his salary. We would keep vegas compensation as well as carolina compensation. Carolina gets a goalie at 3.5 for 2 years

      the Capfriendly doesnt do three way trades very well.

      Yes in the OP Vegas is taking the half but the details laid out that the red wings are taking the half. We cant make a third team take of the salary on this site.

      The deal on the OP is
      Vegas and a 1st to Detroit.
      Detroit eats 50% and trade MAF to Carolina for a 2nd.


      In reality it probably is:
      MAF to Detroit for a 1st and a 2nd
      MAF at 50% to a team for something small.

      Yeah 3 way trades are hard here when salary retention is part of it. The idea is Detroit gets picks from both Carolina and Vegas to take $3.5M x 2 salary on. Vegas removes 100% of MAFs contract, Canes get MAF on 50% salary.

      Should also be noted that MAFs deal is 100% salary, no signing bonus. A LOT of money being talked about here.

      Looking at the trade, DET gets VGK's 2021 1st, and CAR 2021 2nd, for eating 3.5mm x 2 of Fleury's deal. Sounds like a good deal to me (and based on the reporting, that may be the best deal VGK has gotten, as it doesn't have to retain any Fleury salary).

      VGK gets $7mm x 2 of cap space
      CAR gets Fleury @ 3.5mmx2
      DET gets VGK 2021 1st, CAR 2021 2nd.

      Im sure the Wings would take Mrazek back in the deal, unless they are targeting another goalie in FA.
