I don’t hate it tbh, they get a 2nd and there’s some good players left

Bonino is better but not sure for the picks, I guess it was because he was slightly overpaid.

He's better right now but he's also a UFA after this season and is 9 years older than Kunin.

Kunin hasn't been anything more than 3rd liner so

He's only 22. Bonino is also a 3rd liner. Kunin provides so much things to the team that we can't see on scoresheets.

Getting a 2nd ... then it makes some sense ... Bonino is a player sought for depth at TDL for a deep playoff run.

Seems to me, Guerin wants the Wild to play better defensively. Nothing wrong with that.

Guerin wants to build in the draft and he's killing it IMO. Rossi, Marat, O'Rourke.

Many good picks. Impressed with the depth of the 2nd round. I like the two 2nd rounders from Montreal better than their 1st rounder.

Kunin is a meh player. If his draft year was redone, he might not even go in the 1st round. He’s an ok skater with a quick, hard, and very inaccurate shot...plus he really struggles to process the game at high speeds. What i will miss is his competitiveness...that, he has in spades.

Bonino can be a nice stopgap for us and if we're out of it near the deadline, we can flip him at the deadline for assets. We're clearing the table for next offseason and opening up possibilities to get more assets next season if guys like him, Bjugstad, and Johansson play well since they'll all be UFAs next offseason.

Absolutely. That is how I see Guerin managing his hockey club. Let’s face it. There has been a lot wrong with the Wild. The team can only compete by aggressively being younger.
The Rangers are the new model in today’s NHL.
