Would be surprised to not see the Oilers give Ennis more than that, likely 1.5. He was a good fit there on 3rd line and even McD's wing when hot.

I think Wennberg is headed to Pittsburgh.
We'll see. He needs a fast skilled team to head to in order to turn it around.
He'll get short term, which works for him, and a lower salary. But it helps the penguins close a window and it helps him turn it around before FA.
It's a win for both, it's a good fit. He'll probably play with McCann and Poulin.

I know Columbus wasn't exactly stacked with offensive guys, but does that not kill the 3 scoring lines? No reason to waste Poulin if Wennberg is the 3C.

Maybe he racks up 30+ assists with them but his scoring touch has always been dreadful.

Tough to make him 3C when you have a lockdown line of ZAR-Blueger-Tanev under it.

why, Wennberg has plenty of offensive upside, he's responsible defensively. He needs a new start.
I'm not saying it's the perfect answer, but you are stuck with what the market has to give.

I won't argue that. You make due with what is available. I'm not sure I agree with offensive upside, though. He has a real problem finding the net... But, we will see what they do at 3C. I'm confident that player isn't on the roster or in the system.
