That's actually way more than I expected Andersson to go for. Let's see if a change of scenery helps!

Low second round pick for a former 7th overall pick. Nice value for a Kings team that has room for a young forward or two in the lineup.

Win-win. We get a pick for someone who probably wasn't a part of our future. LA get a player with a lot of potential.

Rob Blake, have a cookie. Thank you for not overpaying for what could be a steal of a player

that's exactly my thoughts too. Andersson is a nhl ready player who will become a 2nd liner who needed a change of scenery.

Lias was a dead asset. Love the trade. Don't see Lias beating out their stacked forward prospects.

Lias gonna go from tossing medals to tossing cups. I like the gamble on Blake’s end.

Tbf, JP is way better than Andersson and only seemed to have problems with past Oilers management. He's worth more than Andersson.

agreed. I voted fair deal because he'll never suit up for the Rangers and LA only gave up a late 2nd for him. Definitely a win for both sides

Still think Lias can be great. It's unfortunate that things soured between him and the Rangers, we need centers and he could've been an impact player long term. I don't know what happened with him in NY but for his sake I hope things work out for him in LA. That pick was a pleasant surprise - didn't think we'd get more than a 5th round pick, and the guy we picked is pretty good.

Lias will always have a special place in my heart. I hope he lights it up with Byfield for years to come. (and if Lias wins the Conn Smythe, but not the Cup, I'd love to see him throw it into the crowd)

When a young unproven player needs a change of scenery so soon...it doesnt bode well for him.
Hopefully he doesnt Ho-Sang himself out of the league.
