Be honest guys... tell me will Lias Andersson actually become a full time NHL star like he was expected to?? And if so what year??

He won't. Especially with all the depth on the Kings forwards core.

The problem is that Lias wants to be a top six player. The NYR drafted him to be a top six player. But he'll probably never be a top six player. He needs to develop his game to be a Blake Coleman type Forward who can defend, kill penalties, and provide offensive depth. He's still a really good skater and has decent size and there's always room for a really good skater if he can defend.

But why? Just by looking at their positions on CapFriendly, the Kings already have Kopitar, Kempe, Lizotte, Vilardi, and Byfield at C. Plus they have Turcotte, Madden, Kupari, Thomas, and JAD in the system. Do they seriously need another C?

all word was his game in europe was east west and not translatable to the NHL game.
If you have the same issues with him again, you may regret that.

Low second round pick for a former 7th overall pick. Nice value for a Kings team that has room for a young forward or two in the lineup.

You think they have room?

I don't even know what that means. Try typing in English. Sentences require a subject and predicate.

You said he is a good skater. Lias Andersson's skating is what keeps him from being an NHLer.

Most people would say it's his compete level and attitude rather than his skill set. His skating was never an issue when he was being scouted as a prospect.

Maybe catch some of his film. Opens up a little more. He has foot speed issues and is a poor skater. He'll max out as a B6 C if he sticks in the NHL and with all the depth on the Kings forward prospects I doubt he even makes it.

I waited a while to join here but been waiting to post here.. Lias Andersson Kings fans wasnt gonna ruin your excitement when your team gave a 2nd rounder up for a player with a real poor attitude and it did not start with the Rangers. If anyone remembers this kid tossed his silver medal into the stands over in sweeden. Right there that raises question marks. As it always seems the Rangers make the worst draft pics imaginable. They gave Lias every chance he is to slow for the NHL, was bad on the puck and not a chance would he go into the dirty areas to be any kind of successful NHL player. The Rangers gave him a chance to work on his game in the AHL then leaves and heads back to Europe and says the Rangers did him dirty. The 2nd rounder was a gift to the Rangers. I would have been happy with the last pick of the draft for Lias. Kings fans do you now see a pattern with this kid? He has a low hockey IQ for sure and no heart for the game. Although im surprised he didnt leave for europe again and say the kings also did him dirty. He prob only kept his mouth shut as his father is a scout with the kings and very possble the reason the kings traded for him. His father must be so embarrassed about his son.
