It's not that far off in theory, but the real issue is Rust had one very good season next to Crosby at the age of 28, hard to peg is that a fluke, a result of Crosby, or a combination of the two? This is why Hawks shouldn't trade Murphy who's gotten better and better every 30 games since acquiring him and is a physical shut down RHD guy on a good contract for a guy that is a big risk.

hawks really have no interest in that. If we move Murphy its going to be for a protected 1st or a 2nd + a solid prospect. this deal isn't terrible value wise it just doesn't make sense for the hawks
