I would over pay Murray and give him a 1 year deal and have a agreement with him to take a cut on his next contract.

I was contemplating between 1 and 3 years for him. I think 1 year is riskier for him long term, coming off a down year playing with the bad sens would probably result in back to back bad years which would mean hed probably take less as a UFA next summer than he would in this deal. I thought 3 years at a reasonably high cap (which doesnt matter we need to hit the floor anyways) was best for both sides. Murray gets most of his money and gets a chance to improve his stock with a hopefully on the rise sens, and the sens get the stability in goal theyre looking for.
