We should try laffy at center. I know he is a natural winger but I have seen him personnaly in the QMJHL and he is a good center.

If you’re not going to give anything worthwhile to take smith, you might as well just keep him with that $10 mil worth of cap space...Absolutely no reason for Anaheim or anyone else to take it, and you’ve got the room to keep it.

He gave an interview with MSG where they asked him about it...he said he has played C before and would obviously want to give it a try. I think its being used as kind of a cop-out 2C option for NYR. I could see it working but its probably best case scenario. Obviously he's gonna be a rookie so don't need to rush anything or force the fit if its not working
