I think Serg is right target. Just no idea what the price is right now. There will be other bids.

Its gonna have to be some combination of severson, Zacha, Walsh, Okhotyuk, Bahl, 1st, 3rd i think.
I want him, not sure what combo I'd be ok with though.

This is going to be the worst team in the NHL next season. I'm not sure its worth trading so many assets at this time. I realize he could be a cornerstone, but giving up what will likely be a top 5 pick in either 21 or 22 (plus more) doesn't seem like the right time. Feels like full on tank-a-thon to me. Gusev & Palmieri gets traded at deadline ... Severson at some point. Stockpile even more picks & prospects... Zajac, Schneider & Subban's contracts clear out ... then they may be in a better position. Right now, there is just no quick fix.

7 yr rebuild ain't quick!
Serg probably could have been gotten with 7 OA and yiu could argue hes worth it. Checks all the boxes. Get him signed and move on! Top 3 protect the pick and add from there!

TBLs problem is staying under the cap while remaining a contender. I think you gotta give up butcher or severson at 50% retained for starters. They need somebody that can fill in the loss or Serg and Shattenkirk immediately.

I am fine with butcher, as serg is an instant upgrade at LD. Quite frankly I would be fine if they made a simmilar deal for Vince Dunn. That said, I would probably be hesitant to move severson for almost anybody but sergachev right now.

Devils have a lot of young assets right now, time to start consolidating them into quality NHLers in their mid-twenties. If they give away one 1st rounder in the next 5 years, and theyre still in the bottom of the league, we have bigger problems to address.Probably means back to the drawing board for rebuild 2.0/3.0 (however youre keeping score)

I think Severson is a our biggest asset to trade outside Palms. Butcher seems to have dropped off. It seems defense is our biggest problem. We have offense. it's just a matter of finding the right line chemistry.

189 goals last year, only 6 or 7 teams worse. Agree D is a bigger issue, but the O still poor. You can hope Nolan, Holtz, Nico and Hughes begin to solve that, but you need 3 lines putting up goals in this league, long road ahead for that. Maybe a longer range prospect, like Thompson, gives the group a boost, but the road ahead gives me a headache to think about.
